Based on long-term scientific research on vapes, in 2018, the United Kingdom began to allow the sale of vapes in hospitals and provide patients with vape lounges to encourage smokers to switch from traditional tobacco to vapes and eventually quit smoking. In 2019, the STOP (Stopping Tobacco Organizations and Products) report, the global tobacco industry regulator, listed the UK as the country with the best action in tobacco control. As a long-established vape brand, Guutuu continues to provide smokers with high-quality vape products. The Department of Public Health England warns: vapes are not absolutely harmless, but they are far less harmful than cigarettes. Our advice remains that smokers are better off switching to vaping entirely, but if you’re not a smoker then don’t try vaping.
On March 5, 2020, the British health system released “8 truths about vapes”

5. vapes can assist smoking cessation and the effect is significant
In February 2019, the UK’s National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) funded a large-scale clinical trial. The clinical trial involving nearly 900 participants has found that vapes are twice as effective as nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) in helping smokers quit.
vapes help between 50,000 and 70,000 cigarette users in the UK quit smoking every year, an independent study by University College London (UCL) has found.
6. vapes have no second-hand smoke problem
There is evidence that exposure to second-hand cigarettes is harmful to health, which is why UK law bans smoking in enclosed public places and workplaces. However, these laws do not cover vapes, and individual organizations can make their own regulations on vapes.
The main components of vape liquid are nicotine, propylene glycol and glycerin, as well as various flavorings. Unlike cigarettes, vapes do not emit sidestream smoke into the atmosphere, only aerosols.
Public Health England’s 2018 report found that vaping has not been found to be harmful to the health of people around it. In the 2022 report, Public Health England will review the relevant evidence again. People with asthma and other respiratory conditions can be allergic to a range of environmental irritants, and Public Health England has advised organizations to take this into account and adjust regulations where appropriate.
7. The proportion of British youth smoking will not rise due to vapes
The latest report finds there is no evidence yet that vapes are contributing to the rise in teenage smoking. The survey shows that the proportion of vape users among young people is extremely low, and these users are basically those who already smoked cigarettes. It should also be pointed out that smoking rates among young people in the UK continue to decline.
A 2019 study dispelled concerns that vaping could lead to a resurgence in smoking rates. Public Health England will continue to monitor trends in young people’s use of vapes and cigarettes. We’ve recently launched a new study – looking at the difference in the effect of flavoring on youth vaping and adults switching to vaping.
8. Improving vape regulations is very important
The UK has well-established vape regulations. Under the Tobacco and Related Products Regulations 2016, vaping products containing nicotine must meet minimum quality and safety standards and must also comply with packaging and labeling requirements and provide consumers with the necessary information to make an informed decision .
In the UK, advertising related to vapes has been strictly restricted, and manufacturers must also report detailed information on all products to the UK Medicines and Health Products Administration.
